Come to the magical town of Avigliana in the beautiful Piedmont region of Italy for a few days!
Only twenty five kilometres west of Turin city, the scenic hilltop town of Avigliana lies within the Susa Valley beside the main road leading from Turin to Frejus in France.
Visit here the architectural masterpiece that is the Sacra di San Michele (in the pictures). This is an incredibly old abbey situated on top of Mount Pirchiriano which can be seen from Avigliana.
