Throw a coin into the Trevi fountain when you visit Rome
The Trevi fountain is situated in front of the beautiful Palazzo Poli and tourists who gaze upon this masterpiece will see an animated scene of the ancient Greek god Triton, son of the sea god, Poseidon. The Trevi fountain is probably the most famous fountain in the world and is the largest Baroque style fountain in Rome. It stands at an impressive height of 26.3 metres.
It is an endeared custom of locals and tourists alike to throw a coin into the Trevi fountain to ensure a future return to the city of Rome. Throwing in a second coin is said to attract romance into one’s life and a third should guarantee wedding bells!
