Visit the stunning Rialto bridge crossing the Grand Canal of Venice
The Rialto bridge is the oldest bridge crossing the Grand Canal in Venice, linking the districts of San Marco and San Polo. It bears a close resemblance to its wooden predecessor with two inclined ramps leading to the central arched portico. The bridge is roofed with two beautiful arches on each side with enough room for rows of small shops or stalls to conduct their business.
The Rialto bridge is now one of the most iconic and photographed sites in Venice and is most certainly worth a visit on your next vacation to this unique lagoon city! Check all our blog articles about Venice and its attractions: http://www.italy-villas.com/to-italy/localities/venice
